Dr. Khane-Faygl (Anita) Turtletaub has lectured widely on Yiddish, Jewish literary and cultural figures, women’s issues and Jewish humor. She has taught Yiddish for more than 30 years.

She is an accomplished Yiddish translator, with a specialty in old handwritings.

She founded and directed The Society for Yiddish Culture and has published five Yiddish short stories, one of which was included in the anthology of Yiddish writers entitled Vidervuks (Regrowth). She edited and was featured in Breaking Ground by Bea Michaels.

Her most recent achievement is the CD of her original Yiddish children’s songs and accompanying full-color text, which should be out very soon.
