Due to her father's military service, Kristina Ogilvie was raised in Germany, but attended high school in the U.S. She graduated from Wellesley College in 2001 with a B.A. in English Literature and a minor in East-Asian Religion. After working in the D.C. area for two years, she moved to Chicago to pursue an M.A. at the University of Chicago. She spent the 2005-2006 academic year in Trier, Germany, as a Teaching Assistant at the Friedrich-Spee Gymnasium. She can count to 10 in six languages, but speaks only three of them with anything resembling skill. Her hobbies include (but are not limited to) taking pictures, reading, watching movies, going to concerts, and traveling, and her favorite quote is "Klaatu...verada...necktie?"
