Paul North is a Ph.D. student in Comparative Literary Studies and German. After a BA in Englis Literature from SUNY Binghamton, he received an MA in Comparative Literature from The Graduate Center of the City University of NY. His areas of interest include Ancient Greek literature and philosophy; Latin American literature; the history of aesthetics; Romanticism; German critical thought. Currently, he is writing a dissertation that traces the ramifications of a noetic-noematic problem, arising simultaneously but independently in the thought of Martin Heidegger and Walter Benjamin, and in the fictions of Franz Kafka and Jorge Luis Borges.
